Posted by Admin On23rd March 2012

Jay McCleskey is a highly sought after public affairs adviser. He has worked on a number of campaigns over the years in many areas all over the United States. However, he got his start in New Mexico where he worked with challengers trying to unseat incumbents locally. He was quite successful in this regard and eventually helped a challenger to defeat a thirty-year incumbent of the New Mexico State House—who also happened to be the sitting Speaker of the House.

Jay McCleskey ran a gubernatorial campaign in New Mexico and even served as the Republican Party of New Mexico’s Executive Director. In 2004 he managed the Victory campaign in New Mexico for the Republican National Committee. This campaign was designed to help George W. Bush’s presidential campaign to be a success in the state. That year New Mexico flipped from a blue state to a red state, awarding its delegates to the Bush re-election campaign. For four years, from 2005 until 2009, Jay McCleskey was a Regional Political Director for the Republican National Committee, overseeing the group’s activities in ten states and helping with dozens of campaigns.

Today, Jay McCleskey is an integral member of the staff at Lincoln Strategy Group. He brings a unique perspective and skill-set to the firm which is valued by co-workers and clients alike.
